‘Kinda feel like a side character’ - This concept was born from the feeling of invisibility.. those days when you're not the main character in your own story, when life moves around you instead of with you.
As the creator behind this piece, I wanted to give voice to the often unspoken struggles with loneliness, disconnection, and mental fatigue. In anime, side characters are usually the ones standing just outside the spotlight.. observing, supporting, quietly hurting. They may not always be seen, but their presence is meaningful. That mirrors the real world, where many people carry silent battles behind everyday smiles.
Anime culture has always had a beautiful way of expressing the silence, the wind blowing through empty hallways, the cherry blossoms falling alone. I leaned into that atmosphere to express something that’s both deeply personal and widely relatable: the idea that it’s okay to not feel okay, to feel backgrounded sometimes. It doesn't make you less important. In fact, side characters often have the most depth, they grow in the shadows.
This piece is a small reminder for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked: your story still matters, even when you’re not in the spotlight. It’s okay to have quiet days. You’re still part of the narrative.

With my art, I focus on subtle details, shapes and forms that leave space for interpretation. I love creating images that feel like Rorschach tests or drifting clouds: abstract enough that the viewer finishes the picture in their mind.
The name Odd Dog comes from how I’ve felt since I was young, like I saw things differently, never quite fitting in. Over time, I realized that being “odd” is what makes me unique. My work embraces that difference and invites others to find their own meaning in it.

My artistic research stems from a desire to explore the invisible – the subtle connections between the individual and the universe.
With a background in architecture and a holistic approach, I merge art, neuroscience, and intuition to create works that speak to both the mind and the heart. Through the use of artificial intelligence, I translate emotions and abstract concepts into visual forms that stimulate perception and awareness.

Wenzel Kolář, a 28-year-old Czech artist, has been based in Vienna since 2017.
His work explores abstract connections, blending traditional painting with spray techniques on materials like jute and vinyl.
By deconstructing reality, shifting perspectives are revealed. Empty space allows movement, and his intuitively created geometric structures bring dynamism.
The contrast between sharpness and softness invites individual interpretation.

My name is Hayley AKA Haitch!
For years I experimented with many different mediums until eventually I found my style that for me delivers the simplicity, but dramatic effect, of black and white imagery. Not using colour evokes a sense of vulnerability due to the exposed nature and the need to create life within an image with the use of just the line.
I’ve been illustrating alongside a different career for over 20 years and hope to one day spend hours and hours each day focussing solely on my art. Illustration inspires me, creating gateways into different worlds, and giving an outlet for my imagination to be free!

My name is Gee Whizz, and I'm currently mainly working on skin as a tattoo artist but I also make art across a variety of other mediums, particularly painting random things with acrylics and constructing decorative mobiles from interesting materials.
I draw inspiration from sources as far removed as European folk traditions, 1960s psychedelic poster art and classic science fiction. Colour is a passion of mine but I also love the bold simplicity of monochrome, so my work tends to swing wildly between these as well as jolting from the sublime to the ridiculous in terms of subject matter!
I'm Welsh but based in Cornwall now, and am currently learning to speak Polish. Kraków and Silveś are two of my favourite places and I'm obsessed with Bob Mortimer, Forteana, and the moon.

I’m Kaliyongene, also known as Buya Nangoma, a Zambian-British neurodivergent artist who creates inclusive fantasy art rooted in cultural identity, mental health, and speculative storytelling.
My work draws from my deep love of nature, neuroscience, and the rich imaginative worlds of fantasy and cyberpunk. My work aims to challenge societal norms and celebrate the beauty of neurodiversity.
The design I submitted is a personal piece, a design version of myself. The oversized elf ears reflect my sensory sensitivity, especially to sound, while the mushrooms symbolise neurodivergence, growth, and connection to the natural world. The green tones and Zambian flag-inspired palette honour my roots and favourite colour. This design weaves together softness, surrealism, and bold Afrofuturist energy, a visual expression of both vulnerability and resilience.

Meet Jason Seymour - Art In The Land Of Dragons
Welcome to Art In The Land Of Dragons — the realm of bold, surreal, and mythical illustration by Jason, a self-taught digital artist, based near Bath, UK and creator of fantasy-fuelled clothing and design.
I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember, but in 2022 I began expanding my designs into wearable art, diving headfirst into a world of dragons, skulls, surreal unicorns, and twisted fables. My work blends the dark edge of fantasy with the expressive freedom of alternative style.
This isn’t just a passion project - it’s a mission to bring magic, myth, and madness to life through clothing, prints, and designs for those who love the strange, the powerful, and the unapologetically bold.
Whether you're into dark fantasy, gothic vibes, DnD, tattoos, gaming, or just want to wear something that feels like you — you’ve found your realm.
Art isn’t just to be seen — it’s meant to be worn.

Hi, I’m Ellen.
I’ve loved to draw since I could hold a crayon. I studied art in Tokyo where I realized illustration was the only job where I could quietly obsess over tree bark and call it “research.”
I’m inspired by classic book illustrations, weird little creatures, and the kind of nature you find when you get a little lost. Mostly, I just want my art to make people smile—or at least say “huh.”
I do art for my book series Ellen in Puzantium where I explore how being weird and fumbly is sometimes exactly what’s needed to save the world.
