Artist

My name is Gee Whizz, and I'm currently mainly working on skin as a tattoo artist but I also make art across a variety of other mediums, particularly painting random things with acrylics and constructing decorative mobiles from interesting materials.

I draw inspiration from sources as far removed as European folk traditions, 1960s psychedelic poster art and classic science fiction. Colour is a passion of mine but I also love the bold simplicity of monochrome, so my work tends to swing wildly between these as well as jolting from the sublime to the ridiculous in terms of subject matter!
I'm Welsh but based in Cornwall now, and am currently learning to speak Polish. Kraków and Silveś are two of my favourite places and I'm obsessed with Bob Mortimer, Forteana, and the moon.
